Bosses love to be kept up to date on projects. Never let your boss down again and always shine like a star when you follow these simple steps to keeping your boss updated on your projects.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Excel or Microsoft Word
  1. Step 1

    Template

Create a product template to track all of your projects in one sheet. This template should include: Project Name, Scope, Investigation, Initial Testing, Final Testing, and Launch.

  2. Step 2

    Tracking

Bosses don't have time to read a long winded explanation of where you are. Offer up the details in attached forms, but the cover form should offer a quick glance overview of all projects. Your boss will find this refreshing. Use arrows or other graphics to track your progress. Don't get so fancy that it distracts from the report.

  3. Step 3

    Work Ethics

The first object is to keep the arrows moving forward to complete the project. The second object is to keep your boss updated. Give him details in attached forms incase he or she does want to read thee details.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make the template easy on the eyes.
  • Beware of too many graphics. It will distract from the project report.
