Buying checks online is easier than you might think. You could go to your bank and wait for an available representative, then go through their book of checks only to end up with a rather plain-looking design. Or you could go online, look through thousands of check designs in a matter of minutes and have the whole process finished in less than an hour. Which would you prefer? Once you’re ready to order checks over the internet you just need to find the right website.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Blank check
  1. Step 1

Remove a blank check from your checkbook or look for a reorder form in the back of your checkbook. You’ll need the routing number from your bank and your checking account number as well as the number of the last check in the book.

  2. Step 2

Search for the type of check you want or do a search for checks using one of the popular Internet search engines like Google. If you’re looking for a specific check like Scooby Doo checks or looking for checks relating to a professional sporting event, try doing a search for those first.

  3. Step 3

Spend some time looking around the website at the different checks they have available or request a copy of their catalogue if you’d prefer. Most websites have a large variety of checks so you should look at any that interest you. Once you find one, look for the order button and press it.

  4. Step 4

Enter any information the website requires to order your checks over the internet, including the information on your blank check or reorder form. They’ll need your routing number and account number to create your checks. Submit the information by clicking the right button.

  5. Step 5

Fill out your personal information including your name and address and press the submit button. Most websites will let you check your information before proceeding to make sure everything is correct. You’ll then need to choose a shipping method and pay for your checks using an automatic withdraw from your checking account or using a credit card. Once you submit your order, all you have to do is wait for the checks to arrive in the mail.

Tips & Warnings
  • Double check all of your information carefully because once the checks are printed, you can’t get a refund. If you use the wrong address or spell your name wrong you’ll be stuck with checks you can’t use.
  • Avoid any website that requires you send them a check before they process your order. Many of these are scam websites that attempt to steal your personal information.
