Science has shown that excessive exposure to the sun is bad for your skin. If you don’t want to risk the negative effects that skin exposure can bring, there are certain makeup tricks you can do that will help you achieve a natural looking glow. These steps will leave your skin with a lovely golden glow.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Foundation
  • Powder
  • Skunk brush
  • Blush brush
  • Bronzer
  • Blush
  • Concealer
  • Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Moisturizer

Step1
Prepare your face. Before you start applying any kind of makeup, you want to wash your face. Once you have towel dried your face, follow up with a toner. Lastly, apply the moisturizer. Allow your skin 5 to 10 before you proceed to Step 2. You want the moisturizer to properly absorb.
Step2
Apply the base. Once a moisturizer has the proper amount of time to absorb, it’s time to apply foundation. Apply the foundation to your entire face. Apply concealer to any areas that need a little bit of work. Apply your favorite powder to set the makeup.
Step3
Apply the bronzer. Take your skunk brush and put some of the bronzer on it. Carefully apply the bronzer to your face with a gentle hand. It’s important to know that you can layer the bronzer on; however, if you have to take it off because you put on too much, the results won’t be very good. Focus on the area of your face that usually gets the most sun. This will be your nose, forehead and cheeks.
Step4
Apply blush. Once you’ve applied the bronzer, it’s time to apply the blush. Bronzer really makes blush stand out, especially if it has any kind of shimmer in it. Use your blush brush to gather the blush on it. Gently apply the blush to the apples of your cheeks. Do not apply it too heavily, otherwise you will look like a clown.
Step5
Finish the rest of your makeup. Once your face is finished continue on to do the rest of your makeup. Apply eyeshadow and eyeliner and top that off with a fresh coat of mascara. You’re done. People will be asking you where you went on vacation because you have such a golden glow.

Tips & Warnings

  • Choose your bronzer based on the color of your skin. For light skin tones, go with a more natural bronzer and for darker skin tones, a darker color bronzer.
  • Don’t try to apply a color that more than 3 shades darker than your skin tone. Otherwise, you’ll look orange.
