The first step in filling out a personal check is to decide what type of transaction one wants to make. The transactions could range from getting a money at ones bank, official check, cash, or pay a payment.

The second step in filling out a personal check is fill in the "pay to the order of" in that space if one is wanting a money order from ones bank, they should write the name of the bank in that area, it is the same for official checks and making payments. If one wants just cash, one can make the check out to cash or make it payable to themselves; however, if one makes it payable to oneself, one must sign the back of the check.

The third step in filling out a personal check is to decide if one is writing out it for other purposes such as giving a gift to a friend. This step is easy just put the friends name on the "pay to the order of" line and that's it...please don't send a check made out to just cash, most banks will thinks it is fraudulent.
Step4
The fourth step in filling out a personal check is to write in the amount one wants in the little box provided and then write out the amount on the second line.
