  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1/2-c. dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/4-c. egg substitute
  • 2/3-c. skim milk
  • 1 tsp. minced onion
  • 1/8-tsp. pepper
  • 1/8-tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 can lowfat cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 4-oz. can mushrooms with liquid
  • 1/2-pint nonfat sour cream

Instructions

      Combine the turkey, breadcrumbs, egg substitute, milk, onion and spices and mix well. Let the mixture set for 3 to 4 minutes, then roll it into small balls, 1 inch or so in diameter.

      Brown the meatballs in an electric frying pan at 300 degrees F. After they're brown, reduce the heat to 220 F. and simmer them for 20 minutes.

      Combine the soup, mushrooms and sour cream in a pan and heat through, but do not allow it to boil. Pour sauce over the meatballs and serve.
