How to Make a Flower Girl's Basket

Weddings are full of details. All the little things that add up to a beautiful wedding day. One of the fun aspects is the flower girls. The little girls are darling no matter what and they should have fun baskets to hold as they walk down the aisle, here are how to make them.

Things You'll Need

• raw green silk
• glue gun
• glue sticks
• circular plastic box
• fake vines
• scissors

Instructions

1. Lay some green silk on a flat surface. Place the circular box in the middle. Trace the outline so you are left with a circle.

2. Cut out the circle. This will be used on the inside of the box later. Place the box back on the green silk. Cut a large square around the circle.

3. Wrap the green silk around the circular box. Cinch in on the inside. Take the glue gun and put small dots on glue on the box. Press the silk into the glue and hold for a few seconds. Continue all the way around the box.

4. Place glue on the inside bottom of the box. Fit the circle you cut out earlier and press it down for a few seconds so it dries.

5. Take one end of the vines and glue them with the hot glue to one side (outside of the box). Fit the other side as desired and cut the vine. Glue the other side. That's it, you just made a flower girl's basket!

• Don't make something that is too heavy or too large for a small child, keep it simple
