Buy a Wii

The Wii is the latest console from video game giant Nintendo. It has been hard to find but with a promised increase in production, those looking to buy a Wii might have an easier time of it very soon. Still, the demand for Wiis is still high and likely to stay that way for some time.

Things You'll Need:

  • Money to buy the Nintendo Wii
  • Internet connection

    How to Buy a Wii

  1. Step 1

Check local stores for a Nintendo Wii. They will be sold in the electronic section and close to the Wii games and accessories. If the store doesn't have any, ask a sales person when they receive their electronic shipment. Then check back with them that day of the week to see if any Wiis arrived.

  2. Step 2

Online retailers who sell video games might have Wiis in stock. If not, you most likely can order it now, and they will ship the Wii when it is in stock.

  3. Step 3

An online auction might be a good choice to buy a Wii. Bidding for a Wii could mean either getting a good deal or paying more for a Wii than retail value. It's definitely an option for buying a Wii relatively fast but at possibly a steep price.

  4. Step 4

A current Wii owner might be ready to sell his Wii so check online classifieds. Chances are the Wii might be lower than retail price or might be sold as a bundle with games and accessories. It might be a good way to get a Wii below retail price or with accessories and games.

  5. Step 5

Word of mouth. Let friends and family know that you are in the market to buy a Wii. It's amazing how once someone knows you are looking for something then they begin to keep an eye out for it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check with local stores as soon as or within an hour of opening to see if they have any Wiis in stock. A simple phone call will save gas and time.
  • If you've decided to buy one through an online auction, don't pay more than retail value for a Wii.
