1. Follow his eyes. Pay attention to if the guy you are interested is paying attention to you with his eyes. This can be anything from looking at your face as you speak with him, to watching you from across the room. A guy's eyes do not lie. If you find him looking at you a lot during a party or event, there is a good chance he is interested.

2. Watch him when he is with his friends. Don't just pay attention to the guy that you are trying to deterine his interest in you, but pay attention to his friends as well. If they keep looking over in your direction and then returning to their conversation, there is a good chance they are talking about you. You can't know exactly what they are saying, but at least you can tell if they are paying attention to you.

3. Pay attention to how often he walks by you. Many times us guys are just as shy as you females. Actually, quite often we are even more shy. If you notice a guy walking by you a lot, especially if he is looking at you this will be a sign he is interested. Many times us guys just aren't sure how to start a conversation and will start towards you to begin one and then get nervous. Especially in a group situation it might not be until the third or fourth time that we can get our courage up to approach you.

4. Pay attention to how we carry on a conversation with you. If we are jumping from subject to subject during the conversation there is a good chance we are trying to come up with a reason to continue the conversation. It is like throwing darts at a dart board. We will try every topic we can think of, until we find one that hits the bulls eye. The effort shown in coming up with different topics during a conversation will show an interest in getting to know you.

5. Pay attention to our body language. Does it look like he is trying to get away and go to another conversation? If so, the chances he is interested in you are slim. On the other hand, if we set our drink down on a table we are standing beside while speaking with you, that is a great clue that we would like to have an extended conversation with you.
