How to Increase Page Views

Do you write for clients who pay you for page views? If so, keep reading for advice on how to increase your page views so you can earn more from eHow and other clients. I’ve applied all of the following ideas to my articles and have seen an increase in my page views and payouts.

Instructions

1. Run a contest. Give away a prize related to the article for which you want to increase page views. For your contest, provide a link to the article and have participants answer a couple of questions based on information that can only be found within the article you linked to. Let them know that all correct answers will be entered into a drawing for the prize. Make the prize relate to the article topic. Say you have a parenting article about baby-proofing your home—the prize could be a few things used to baby-proof the home.

2. Link to the article or articles from your blog and newsletter.

3. Write another article on the same topic, and then submit that article to article directories. Have your bio link to the related article you’re promoting. For example: "To discover more on parenting, see [title of article] at [website url]."

4. Encourage your social-networking friends to share your article with their friends.

5. Join forums related to your niche (the topics you write about). Participate in the discussions and include the link to your article in your signature. If you run across a member asking a question and believe your article could help answer the question, refer the member to your article. Only do this if you believe your article could help them with a question they have.
