How to Test With PHP

You will learn how to ask about PHP. You will also learn how to run a simple test for PHP. PHP support is often a requirement for running all kinds of web applications, blogs, etc. If you don’t have PHP with your web host, you can always ask. Of course, it never hurts to run a test for your self.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  • Domain/ web name
  • Hosting service

Test your web for PHP support

Step1
Ask your web host if you have PHP enabled.
Step2
Run a test on PHP. Create a new file named test.php.
Step3
Open the file “test.php” in your editor program, such as MS Note Pad. Add the following line of code: < ?php phpinfo() ?>
Step4
Save your file. Open the file with your web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Fire Fox.
Step5
If you don’t see your PHP information on the screen, then it is time to contact your hosting service and ask them to give you PHP support.

  • Ask your web host if you have PHP support before you test PHP.
