How to Meet People at a Ski Area
If you are a skier or snowboarder, you are probably interested in finding a significant other who shares your interests. The obvious solution is to try to meet someone at an actual resort. However, there are some subtleties involved in approaching the right person.

1
Choose a ski area. Ideally, it should not be described as "perfect for families." Resorts such as Whistler, Aspen, Breckenridge and Killington are famous for their vibrant apres ski scene.
-
2
Decide what time of relationship you seek. If you are looking for a permanent, ongoing relationship, choose a destination that is close to home. However, if you are looking for a brief, exciting fling, the sky's the limit.

3
Rent a condo near the resort. Plan a party, and invite people that look interesting.
-
4
Once at the slopes, choose the singles' line. Someone interesting might decide to join you.
-
5
Take a ski or snowboard lesson. You will be in a smaller, contained group of people who are serious about the sport.

Tips & Warnings
If you are a guy with good ski or ride skills, consider becoming an instructor. It's the fast track to becoming a chick magnet.
Women should resist wearing impractical and expensive ski clothes, or wearing too much makeup. It makes you look spoiled and unapproachable.
If your skills are better than those of the other person, resist the temptation to teach them.
