Things You'll Need
- 2 tablespoons white willow bark
- 2 tablespoons birch bark
- 2 tablespoons dried comfrey
- 2 tablespoons nettle
- 2 tablespoons peppermint
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- Glass measuring cup
- Large plastic shampoo bottle
- Strainer
- Electric mixer
- Large mixing bowl

Boil 1/2 a cup of water in the glass measuring cup. The easiest and fastest way to do this is to microwave the water in the measuring cup on high for 2 minutes. Keep an eye on the water so that you can turn off the microwave if the water reaches a rolling boil before 2 minutes are up.

Strain the "tea" to remove the chunks from the liquid. You can catch the liquid in a large measuring bowl.

Add 2 tablespoons of vinegar to the mix.

Mix in the entire bottle of shampoo. Continue to blend the mixture until it has an even color and consistency. It will be slightly runnier than your original shampoo.

Most shampoos will retain their original scent, but some people dislike the herbal smell that may accompany these additions. If so, add a few drops of essential oil to the mix to sweeten the scent.
