How to Use the Red Eye Feature in Digital Cameras

Everyone has had at least one picture where the people in it looked like they had glowing red alien eyes. You can easily prevent this by using the red eye feature on your digital camera. Say goodbye to red eye!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Digital camera manual

1. Find the red eye button. It will either be indicated by an eye icon or it will be the same button as your flash button. Check your manual to be sure.

2. If it is the same button as your flash button, press the flash button until you see an eye icon come up on the screen.

3. Take your photo as usual.

4. There will be two flashes of light; one for the red eye and one for the picture.

Tips & Warnings

• Tell your subjects that you there will be two flashes of light so that they will know to hold their poses longer.
• The red eye button isn't needed if you are not using a flash.
