A geek is usually an odd-looking person whose physical appearance and mental interests combine to make him a social outcast. Since geeks are usually odd looking or unattractive, there are many different ways you can draw them--this is just one. Follow these easy steps to draw a geek.

Things You'll Need:

  • Pencil
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Use light pencil strokes as you draw your geek so you can easily erase. When you’re finished sketching, fill him in with bolder lines.

  2. Step 2

Sketch a head that’s long and narrow. Blend the line of the head into a long neck that’s about the same width. The head and neck together look similar to the top of a bowling pin.

  3. Step 3

Draw a large, squarish opened mouth about halfway down the right side of your figure. There shouldn’t be a right side on the squarish mouth because that’s where the mouth is open—the geek is talking.

  4. Step 4

Position a large parrot-like nose slightly above the mouth, pointing to the right. The nose should arc to the right and be flat on the bottom.

  5. Step 5

Place a large donut-like ear, about the same size as the nose, coming out of the left side of your figure opposite the nose. Sketch a couples lines in it to define the inner part of the ear.

  6. Step 6

Outline some square-framed glasses resting on top of the large nose. Sketch the right handle of the glasses which extends from the right side of the frame and rests on the right ear. The bottom part of the left lens is hidden behind the nose.

  7. Step 7

Swirl your pencil to create a few strands of wispy, curly hair on the side of the bald head. Extend the hair upward to give your geek a disheveled look.

  8. Step 8

Create a chin which looks like a curved smile halfway down the neck. This makes the chin look like it’s blended in with the neck.

  9. Step 9

Form a standard shirt collar at the bottom of your geek’s neck. Exaggerate the length to make it look like it’s stretched out to accommodate his large neck. Sketch a line which slopes almost directly down from the left side of the collar to create a sloping shoulder and draw the top of an almost pointed top sleeve to the right of it. Add a squarish knot to form a tie in the middle of the collar.

  10. Step 10

Add a little box to the bottom left of your geek’s mouth which looks like his bottom row of teeth. Shade in the left part of the mouth area, which is the inside of his mouth. Add details and shading to the rest of your geek where needed.
