How to Marry a Russian Woman

If you are in the market for a Russian bride, there are a few things that can make acquiring one a lot easier. Understanding Russian culture is a good start.

1. Understand why a Russian woman would want to marry a westerner. There are only 88 men per 100 women in Russia, and to them it is shameful to be an unwed, childless woman.

2. Prepare yourself for a family. A Russian woman will want babies, as motherhood and children are very important in her culture. Don’t be surprised if she pushes the issue soon after marriage.

3. Read all you can about Russian customs, and learn to speak some Russian if you can. If your letters to and from her are in Russian, she will find it much easier to communicate with you, and you can always use a translator on your end.

4. Respect their profession. Russian women often are highly respected career women, and you should take them and their work seriously. Nothing irritates a woman more than to be dismissed because of her gender, and Russian women are no exception.

5. Look for a woman that sincerely wants to build a home and a family. She will probably be trying to find out the same things as you, so be open and honest about what you are looking for.

Tips & Warnings

• Be patient. It takes time to build a relationship, especially with an ocean between you. Wait for the right woman, and concentrate on courting her properly.
• Don’t fall for a service that promises you an 18 year old if you are 58. An age gap of 10-15 years might be possible, but anything over 20 years difference is not likely. Be realistic.
