    How to Make Sewing Easy

  1. Step 1

A good place to start your sewing project is at the book store. If your town or city has a used book store, check it out for books on learning to sew. You can save some money by doing this little step. Or look online for discount books. Great used books are readily available.

  2. Step 2

Find the fabric store in your area, and spend some time exploring various fabrics and accessories. While you are at the store, look at fabric, notions and patterns. While you are at the store, sign up for their sales flier. Most fabric stores have a number of sales a year.

  3. Step 3

Look through the pattern books for a project to make. The best thing to do is choose a simple project, with little detail, and only a few pattern pieces.

  4. Step 4

After the project has been chosen, read the back of the pattern to find the fabric the pattern recommends. This is where you will find the amount of fabric needed along with all the notions you will need to finish the whole project. Don't forget thread, buttons or anything else you need.
