Cast a Spell to Freeze Time

Time spells can be tricky business. While there is no way of freezing time the way television portrays it, for example on the TV show "Charmed," it is possible to create your own unique freezing time spell. Above all, be sure the results affect only you and your needs.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Prepare to create your freezing time spell. To start, create a page of reference to save for future use. Include such things as location required, astrological phase, tools needed, deities to be invoked, chants used, instructions, specific reason for creating the freeze time spell and results.

  2. Step 2

Write your spell or find one someone else has used that you like. A quick search in the Internet or library will reveal many already written time spells. For best results for your own needs, writing your own will work better as your own energy is put into it. It doesn't have to be very long or involved. A short version is fine. As you create the written spell open your mind and heartto receive inspiration from the deities. Visualize the results you desire from the spell

  3. Step 3

Gather the items you need. This depends on the freeze spell you choose to create or use. Some basic items often used in spell casting are candles, herbs, crystals, stones and other elements. You will also need a besom and holy water. There may be certain things that you feel drawn to. It is a safe bet you are feeling the energy in that particular crystal, making it a good choice to use in your spell casting. Other items useful for a freeze time spell might be a small clock or hourglass. Even an egg timer could work to represent time.

  4. Step 4

All spells start with consecrating your tools and preparing the circle. Consecration empowers your tools. Simply sprinkle the tool with salt while calling on the powers of the elements or the earth to bless the tools for your spell. Then prepare the circle. A circle is the sacred area where the spell work is done. To prepare use a compass and start at magnetic north, then clockwise use sweeping motions with a besom. A besom is a small sacred broom used in Wiccan ritual. While doing this, recite a chant or chosen words about the cleansing of the circle. Once done, go around counter clockwise sprinkling holy water and again. You are ready now to cast your freeze time spell from the east.

  5. Step 5

Finally, all is ready to cast your freeze time spell. Set your spell components in the circle. Hold them before placing and feel their energies. Release your energy into them and visualize this process. Light any candles you might be using and make yourself comfortable within the circle. Breathe calmly and try to meditate, relax and create a peaceful feeling within. Take your time and go as slowly or as quickly as you would like in touching the tools and finding a quiet core. When you are ready, recite the freeze spell chant or prayer you have chosen or written and complete any ritual actions you had decided on in the preparation. Stay focused on visualizing the desired outcome.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read over your spell a few times before actually casting the circle and the spell so that the actual spell will go smoothly.
  • Make sure any spell you cast is for your own use and will not adversely effect anyone else.
  • Be sure to cleanse your tools when you are finished as they will be full of powerful energy.
