Start with the basics. You want to make sure that your little one has been fed and isn’t hungry. Crying is one of the ways a baby will show you he or she is hungry. Make sure the baby has been burped. Often times, if a baby is not burped, the gas bubble can cause pain and they will let you know through crying. Also make sure the baby’s diaper is clean. Babies do not like dirty diapers and will let you know it through their tears and wailing. If these basics have been met, move on to the next step.

If your baby has gas bubbles, Mylicon Infant Drops can help to relieve the pressure. You can tell if your baby has gas bubbles if his or her stomach feels somewhat hard to the touch and the baby lets out a high pitched cry.

If your baby has a fever or has just had immunizations, he or she may be pretty upset. Tylenol Infant Drops would be helpful in this situation and can help relieve the discomfort of your little one.

Try cuddling your little one. If a baby feels insecure, he or she will cry. Help your baby to feel secure by swaddling him or her with a blanket, tucking in the arms and legs. Swaddling will help your baby feel more secure and he or she will relax enough to stop crying and go to sleep. Try rocking and gently bouncing the baby in your arms up and down while using gentle words or humming or singing quietly. You can also cuddle your baby through the use of a baby sling or baby carrier.

There are times when a baby is not hungry, but just has a desire to suck. This is when a pacifier comes in handy. Do not force it in the baby’s mouth. If the baby does not want it and continues to push it out with his or her tongue after a few tries, try again later.

Run a vacuum cleaner. Not only does this give you a chance to clean your house, but it also helps to calm your baby. A running washer or dryer also works wonders. Don’t put the baby right next to them, but close enough to where he or she can hear the washer or dryer running. The sound of running water also helps soothe the baby.

Remove the baby from an overstimulating environment. Move to a quiet area and use a gentle voice or sing quietly to the baby to calm him or her down.
-
8
Use a baby swing or vibrating bouncy seat. The swinging motion of the swing or the vibrating motion of the bouncy seat will help soothe your baby.
