If you want to part the veils of time to see the future or even to learn more about the past, then try Tarot. This mystical art is an excellent tool. The Emperor card is the fifth card (number IV) of the major arcana, which makes up a 22-card set within the Tarot deck.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tarot Deck
  1. Step 1

Study the Emperor card and pay attention to every detail. Look for significant symbols, numbers and anything else that jumps out at you. You can actually read a Tarot spread with no experience based just on your interpretation of these details.

  2. Step 2

Study the established meaning of the Emperor card. This card generally indicates a fatherly male figure or other powerful man, but not one so mystically powerful or mysterious as the Magician. This man is more down to earth, but still very powerful.

  3. Step 3

Look at the images in the card again, and try to see how they fit in with the meaning of the Emperor card as you understand it. Look for similarities and differences that you can work off of.

  4. Step 4

Use the meaning of the Emperor card to relate to all of the cards around it. You should also look for associations that might change the meaning of the Emperor card. For example, the Emperor card, closely paired with the Tower, could indicate that someone you thought to be very powerful and stable has taken a fall.

Tips & Warnings
  • For example: If someone asks you a yes or no question, the answer with the Emperor card will vary depending on the question. If the question is about a man, that is likely a positive sign.
  • Your answers and ideas may vary from what you read in books and books may even contradict one another. Trust your own feelings about the cards to get the best readings.
