If you want to part the veils of time to see the future or even to learn more about the past, then try Tarot. This mystical art is an excellent tool. The High Priestess card is the third card (number II) of the major arcana, which makes up a 22-card set within the Tarot deck.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tarot deck
  1. Step 1

Have the card in front of you and examine all of the details. It doesn't matter what deck you have, only that it resonates in some way with you and that you can focus on the card. Take in all of the detail and imagery that you can.

  2. Step 2

Think about the general meaning of The Chariot. This card tends to be about balance. Notice the duality: the chariot is being pulled by statues (mobile and immobile), they are opposite colors and so forth. There may be other dualities and opposites depending on the deck.

  3. Step 3

Try to fit the established meaning of the card with the symbolism in your head from Step 1. How do the images enhance or change the meaning in your mind? The interpretation is up to you.

  4. Step 4

Use the meaning of The Chariot to relate to the rest of the cards in the spread. Looks for links, like the duality of two cards that are on either side of The Chariot to enhance the reading.

Tips & Warnings
  • For example: If someone asks you a yes or no question, the answer with The Chariot will vary depending on the question.
  • Your answers and ideas may vary from what you read in books, and books may even contradict one another. Trust your own feelings about the cards to get the best readings.
