1
Pay attention to the headline of all job leads. If a job lead states that you can make X amount of dollars in a short time (especially if it's a huge amount), then it is most likely a scam.
-
2
Take notice if the job lead site has a contact email or telephone number. Most legitimate work at home companies has a real working phone number.
-
3
Check to see how long a company has been in existence. Usually, a legitimate telecommute company has been online for quite a long time.
-
4
Make sure the work at home site is not a free hosted site. If the site offering the opportunity/job, is hosted for free, it is most likely a scam.
-

Always research any type of job before applying. You can research a company at the site below:
search.bbb.org/Or, you can do a search on a particular company by typing in the name of the company and the word "scam" in your favorite search engine.
A "real job" is when YOU work for an employer/company, and are not charged any registration or start-up fees.
