Make Radishes With Irish Butter & Smoked Sea Salt

I am already addicted to sea salt along with all things smoked (no seriously, we have a giant cherry-red smoker in the basement that lives in the backyard all summer). The marriage of both elements is heaven. Normally I force myself to walk by smoked sea salt because the price is so astronomical but their pretty little 2 ounce bottles were only six dollars a piece.

I now feel compelled to sprinkle it on pretty much everything and when I spotted a perky bunch of spring radishes a few days ago it seemed like the perfect excuse to break out the smoked sea salt once again.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • fresh radishes
  • high quality butter
  • smoked sea salt
  1. Step 1

I've made these radishes before with any old stick of butter and ho-hum sea salt but since we had a hunk of Kerrygold Irish butter in the fridge and I was armed with my bottle of smoky goodness, I felt it was the perfect time to indulge in this crunchy, creamy, tangy, zesty treat again. Snip the top off of the radishes to reveal the white center within. Rinse radishes well under cold water.

  2. Step 2

Soften the butter up a bit before applying it to the white portion of the radishes.

  3. Step 3

Sprinkle the butter with smoked sea salt. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Smoked Sea Salt can be purchased from Golden Fig Epicurean Delights and in many gourmet food stores.
