How to place an order for Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries is a fantastic program that can save your family hundreds of dollars each month on restaurant quality groceries. There are no income requirements and anyone can place an order. Learn how with these easy steps.

Things You’ll Need:

• Money Order, Cash, or Food Stamps
• Envelope and Postage
• Order Form
• Large Laundry Basket (to pick up your order)
• Some freezer space

1. Find an Angel Food Ministries location nearest you. You can do this on their website (http://www.angelfoodministries.com). There are several sites located across the country that offer this program.
2. View the current menu, and determine the deadline for orders. The deadline may vary slightly depending on the location of your distribution center. Also, research when distribution day is for your local distribution center. Make note of it on your calendar.
3. Place your order. Contact your local distribution center. You may find they have a printable order form on their website. If so, print out the form and fill it out. You may order up to 3 specials for each regular unit. You must order at least 1 regular unit to take advantage of specials.
4. Go to your local post office and purchase a money order, or mail your order form with your food stamps. You must provide payment when the order is placed NOT on distribution day.
5. A few days later, you will receive a receipt for your order in the mail along with a reminder of the date and times for distribution day. Keep this in a very safe place, and bring it with you when you go to pick up your order.
6. On distribution day at the designated time, go to your local distribution center with your order receipt and a large laundry basket to pick up your order. Usually there are tables set up with volunteers at several stations. They will tape a copy of your order to the outside of your laundry basket and you will slide your basket along the tables where volunteers will fill it up accordingly.

• If you have a large freezer, this is a great way to keep it well-stocked.
• Go to the Hillbilly Housewife website for menu plans and great recipes that use the current month's Angel Food.
• Don't forget to go pick up your order! If you do, other needy families will receive it, so you can be sure it will not go to waste.
