How to Use the Automated System Recovery Tool for XP
The automated System Restore tool in the Windows XP operating system allows users to return their computers to a previous operating state. This operation rolls back drivers and application installations. This process is useful when an application has been installed that has changed the configuration of the system to an unusable state. The automated System Restore tool works on what are known as "Restore Points" that are created any time a new application is installed or a system file is changed.
