How to Make Vietnamese Dipping Sauce

This versatile sauce is used in many Vietnamese dishes including vermicelli dishes, rice dishes and more.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • fish sauce
  • lime
  • garlic clove
  • water
  • sugar
  1. Step 1

    Place 1/2 cup fish sauce in bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Add 1/2 cup cold water.

  3. Step 3

    Mince one garlic clove and add into liquid mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Add the juice of 1/2 a lime.

  5. Step 5

    Add 1 tablespoon sugar.

  6. Step 6

    Add 1/4 teaspoon of Sriracha sauce for spice. You can omi this part if you prefer.

  7. Step 7

    Mix well and serve with your favorite Vietnamese dish.
