Things You'll Need:
- Gift certificates
- Internet connection
- Costco membership
- newspaper and magazines
-
Step 1
Going to the spa can be great for our health if it reduces stress. There are a lot of health benefits to massage as well. Here are my best tips for saving money at the spa so you can go more often.
-
Step 2
Costco often carries SpaFinder gift certificates. They sell two $50 certificates for $80. This saves you 20% right off the bat. I always stock up when they have these during the holidays and around Mother's Day. They often have them on their website as well.
-
Step 3
cheap spa treatmentsVisit your favorite spas' websites and sign up to be on their mailing lists. Spa's will often have discounts and promotions, and if you're not on their email malling list, you'll never know about them. Often you can can also use your SpaFinders as well, which saves even more money. (Check the SpaFinders website for a listing of participating spas in your area. Not all spas accept them)
-
Step 4
discount day spasCall your favorite spa to see if they will give you a group discount if you bring a friend or two with you to the spa.
-
Step 5
Often massage therapists and facialists will come to your home and you can get treatments much less expensively than at your local day spa. Ask around to find a reputable massage therapist.
-
Step 6
Beauty and massage schools often offer reduced rate services so their fully trained students can get experience before they graduate.
-
Step 7
Often day spas have last minute cancellations. If you can be flexible, ask the manager to call you if they have an open spot that would be reduced in price. Also ask them to call you when they are offering spa discounts.
