How to Clean Glass Cook Tops

Here's a simple way to clean your lovely glass cook top stove.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • water
  • paper towels
  • exacto knife blade
  • glass cook top cream cleaner
  1. Step 1

    After use, wait for the stove to cool.

  2. Step 2

    Dampen a paper towel and clean the stove top. Wipe dry.

  3. Step 3

    With an exacto knife blade, gently scrape off any burnt-on messes.

  4. Step 4

    Wipe with a damp towel and dry.

  5. Step 5

    Squirt a teaspoon full of a good glass cook-top cream cleaner onto the stove. These cleaners can be found at Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc.

  6. Step 6

    Smooth over the surface so it covers all areas with your fingers or a paper towel.

  7. Step 7

    Let sit for 2 minutes.

  8. Step 8

    Now with a clean towel, wipe off.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always ensure your stove is off and cooled before cleaning.

on 7/31/2008 i use cooktop cleaner, but i can never get a real shine, which i crave, being obessive. i am tempted to use my windex, but the instructions say NO!
