A tropical vacation usually sounds nice and here's a fun way to bring a little bit of sunshine to your next party - or for your own private getaway. This easy to make and delicious to drink cocktail will bring a bit of Key West right to you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • two ounces Vanilla flavored vodka per serving(Stoli is a great choice)
  • One lime quartered (per serving)
  • half an ounce sour mix (any commercial sour mix will do - one ounce per serving)
  • ice
  • shaker or regular glass tumbler
  • cocktail muddler
  • martini glass
Step1
In a cocktail shaker (or glass tumbler) muddle the lime(s) at the bottom of the glass working the juice out of the lime. Have a little fun and do a bit of a conga while you do it - gets you in the mood for the tropics!
Step2
Stoli Vanilla Vodka Fill the tumbler with ice and then pour in the two ounces vanilla vodka and one ounce of sour mix. Cover the shaker and shake well to chill the liquid and get your martini drink ready. I usually like to shake to a Jimmy Buffet tune and once you get through about the first chorus you're good to go!
Step3
Just pour in your cocktail and you're ready to enjoy! Strain your martini using the shaker lid to pour just the liquid into your chilled martini glass. Discard the lime and ice.

Enjoy your cocktail!
Step4
Another great option that I just discovered this weekend is that this makes a delicious drink over ice in a rocks glass (small glass tumbler, about six to eight ounces). If you like volume in your glass but don't want to double the liquor, I like to add club soda for a lighter, fizzier version.

Tips & Warnings

  • The more chilled your drink, the tastier it will be. Don't worry about over shaking!
  • Straining is really important to ensure you just get the taste of the limes, and not the pulp.
  • Always drink in moderation
