1. Get out of town. Go on a road trip by yourself or with friends. Seeing new sights and meeting new people is a great remedy for crushes. A few days out of town will help this strong memory fade from the front of your mind, and before you know it you’ll be cured.

2. Pick up a new hobby. Learning a new skill or trying to sharpen a current talent is a big challenge that will take a lot of your focus and time. Coincidentally, this will probably take up the time and energy you used to focus on your crush.

3. Go out with friends. Spend as much time doing anything and everything with your friends. They know how you are feeling and are a great source of support and distraction while you are trying to get over your crush.

4. Go on a date. Don’t go into this thinking you will find a new love. But the process of going on a date and stirring up the butterflies in your belly acts as a great remedy for a previous crush. Even if the date doesn’t go well, it will take your focus away from the crush.

5. Buy a pet. You had all this love stored up inside you for your crush, and it needs to go somewhere. Buy a goldfish or a puppy, something that suits your lifestyle. Give it your love.
