Sometimes you may be unable to take a normal bath or shower. It can be due to an injury, an illness that leaves you bedridden or you may be going on an extended hiking or camping trip during which you will be without conventional plumbing. How to Make Dry Shampoo

1. Brush your hair thoroughly. This technique works best if your hair is tangle-free.Vigorous brushing also can help remove dirt and dead skin from your scalp.

2. Sprinkle the cornstarch into your hair. You should use at least half a cup. If you have long hair you may need more.

3. Gently work the cornstarch through your hair. Make sure that it is all through your hair, especially near the scalp and around the nape of the neck where hair tends to get the dirtiest. Doing this thoroughly should take at least five minutes.

4. 

   Brush the cornstarch out. Using a different hairbrush, gently and firmly brush all of the hair on your head. The cornstarch will come out as you brush and take grease, oil and dirt with it. If you wish, you can flip your head upside down for this step.
