How to Take Out a Nose Ring
When you take out a nose ring, you need to make sure you do it right. Due to the angle of the nose ring, it can be a bit tricky to remove. Whether you're switching out your old nose ring for a new one, or removing it altogether, don't rush through the removal process. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Antibacterial Soap
- Tweezers
- Boiling Water
- Antibiotic Ointment
- Cotton Ball

Place your tweezers into a container of boiling water. They should remain there for 10 to 15 minutes. This will sterilize them for the removal process.

Wash your hands with antibacterial soap.

Grasp the end of the nose ring with the tweezers.

Depress the nostril as you gently pull the nose ring through the hole and out of the nose.

Wet a cotton ball, and apply it to the hole. Carefully clean the area.

Apply antibiotic ointment to the hole to prevent infection.

Tips & Warnings
If you are removing a barbell nose ring, unscrew the removable ball from one end. Proceed to remove the remaining nose ring as described above.
Have a friend help you take out the nose ring. Removing it can be tricky due to awkward angles so another set of eyes can help.
Never remove a nose ring if the area is infected. See a doctor.
Do not move suddenly when removing the nose ring. Sudden movements can cause tearing and scarring.
