How to Add Length to a College Essay without Content
So it's late at night. Perhaps you're tired, and you're likely sick of looking at the same paper over and over. Yet, you've still got a page to go. If you want to kick that paper up by a page or two quick, play with these tricks to get some length.
Instructions
-
-
1
First, change the font, but do so subtly! Word will accept numeric values of .5, so if your paper is supposed to be 12 point, make it 12.5, 11, then make it 11.5.
-
2
Next, change the indentation. You can do this by going to "Format" then "Paragraph" and increasing the indentation very slightly.
-
-
3
Before you click out of the "Paragraph" screen, change the line spacing. If you're used to double-spacing, use "multiple" and make it 2.1 or 2.2...it's very hard to notice such a small difference.
-
4
Unless you've been given specifics on what font to use, change to a larger font. Courier New is the standard for increasing paper length, but most professors spot it right away. Play around with other texts that bump up your length.
-
5
Next, split up some paragraphs. Chances are, if you haven't edited completely yet, you can split some longer paragraphs into two shorter ones. Each paragraph you split adds and extra line to your paper.
-
6
Spot lines in your paper that almost reach the end of the page. By adding a word or two to these lines, they will bump to the next line. Add to them to increase your paper length.
-
7
Create a bold title. Your title, name and the class can take up around 1/6 of the first page without looking too ostentatious.
-
8
Add footnotes. If possible, add footnotes to your paper for instant length.
-
9
Hand it in!

Tips & Warnings
There's plenty of other tricks you can get away with. Ask around to see what the professor does and does not notice.
If your paper has great content to begin with, teachers are more likely to overlook your creative formatting.
Do not try these all together. If you do, you're basically guaranteed to get caught.

10. Drop out of college, because you clearly just went out of a complacent sense of obligation -- not for any serious, intelligent reason. -

Don't kid yourself - your profs aren't stupid people. What's more, they read hundreds of these papers, and these sorts of little games are readily noticeable. The best you can hope for is that your profs don't care, and enough of these types of shenanigans from their students, and your profs won't. Besides, the rational that "all students do as well as they can" except that "expectations are out of their reach given the time they have" is ridiculous. You go to college to work hard, not to try and cheat your way through. I've done it; your profs have done it; tons of honest hard-working students do it - write your papers, do your work. Time to grow up kiddies. -

HahA...I want to say for Prof Janie...some teacher do not care or even notice those things. But yea man...i've tried some of those trics it works. As you said not all at once cause you'd surely will get caught. And don't try it with your english profs. If you High Student you have to careful cuse those teachers do check, but if you go to a big University like mine with almost 500 student in the class, taechers do not care, you'd get away with it. Thankx, cause sometimes when you did tired, and can't think any longer, you got to come up with something by tomorrow Morning, and those tricks work most of the time, at least for me it does! -
