How to Cast Candle Spells

Candles have been used for countless years in rituals as well as spell casting. These are some of the simplest, yet most effective spells that you will ever use. They are popular, in part, due to the ease of performing them, as well as the fact that they are also quite inexpensive work. You can perform candle spells for love, money, career, health, legal, or any other issues. For any type of spell you may need, candle magic will work.

Things You'll Need:

• Candle – Check a color chart to see what color candle you need for your type of spell
• Oil for dressing the candle – This can be Essential Oil, or Olive Oil
• Your spell
• Lighter or matches
• Candle Snuffer

Writing Your Spell

1. The first thing you are going to want to do in casting candle spells is to clearly identify your intent. Once you have done this in your mind, it will be time to transfer that intent to paper. You don’t have to be a poet to write your spell. Basically, you are just setting forth your intent so you are clear when it is time to perform the spell

2. Dressing the candle is the next step. Once your spell is written, it is time to prepare the candle. You should have a candle in the color that is most powerful regarding your intent. However, if you are in a bind, a white candle is always a good substitution for any color. All candles must be dressed prior to using them. This is the cleansing and consecration of your candle. If you wish to draw something toward you, rub the oil on the candle in a downward motion from the top of the candle to the middle. Then stop. Now you will rub the oil from the bottom of the candle up to the middle. If you wish to repel something away from you, simply reverse the process by rubbing from the ends to the middle. Never go in a back and forth motion. This will negate the entire process. Now, dab just a drop of oil on your third eye and the middle of your breastbone. Speak some words of power over the candle, such as “I cleanse and consecrate this candle in the name of the God and Goddess.” These don’t have to be exact. You can create your own words.

3. The next thing you will do is light your candle. As it burns, you will say your spell while focusing on the flame. Be sure to include something to make sure that the spell has no ill effects on yourself or others. Use the flame to meditate on while continuing to focus on your intent for a few minutes.

4. Now that you have completed the ritual, you may either snuff out the candle using the snuffer, or let it burn all the way down. Never blow out a candle. Always use a snuffer or even your wet fingertips to put out the candle

Tips & Warnings

• Always check the color correspondence with the intent of your spell workings. It is best if you have as much power invested in the spell as possible. It only makes sense that the color and day of the week is taken into consideration when planning your candle ritual.
• Never use a spell of any kind to bring harm to another. This is the fastest way to not only keep your spell from working for you, but to bring harmful or bad things on to yourself. There should never be harmful intent in any spell casting, candle spells or others.
