You never get a second chance to make a first impression. No where is this more evident then on a first date. From what you say to what you wear, everything will be under scrutiny. Before you start to panic about what to wear on a first date, take a deep breath. Slow down this is much easier then you think. Follow these steps to dress well for a first date and the rest of your evening will be a breeze.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 khaki or denim knee length skirt
  • 1 pair peep toe heels
  • 1 short sleeve button down blouse
  • Your jewelry box

Put Your Best Foot Forward on Your First Date

  1. Step 1

Wear a knee length khaki skirt on your first date. This will give you an edge of feminity, while still keeping the proper tone for your first date. If you do not have a khaki skirt you can substitute a dark denim one.

  2. Step 2

Slide into a pair of peep toe heels to give your first date outfit that flirty look. An air of elegance will knock the wind right out of your first date.

  3. Step 3

Wear a button down short sleeve top to cap off your first date look. Choose your shirt in a color that really makes you sparkle from the inside. So if red is your favorite color and puts a spring in your step, wear it on your first date.

  4. Step 4

Accessorize your first date look with minimal jewelry. One necklace, earrings, and a watch is all you need to wear to tie your first date look together.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the weather is on the colder side you can substitute a longer sleeve top, but do not opt for pants. A skirt is the best way to go to dress for a first date.
  • Do not wear 3 inch heels if you are not used to them. You do not want to spend the majority of your night limping and in pain from your choice of foot wear. Either wear a lower heel or wear a cute pair of ballerina flats.
