      Pack your swim suit, sunscreen, beach towels, your boat and picnic basket and drive around 20 miles North East of Boise Idaho for a wonderful day in the sun. The park is open year round for day use only, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There are Corps of Engineers Park Rangers who periodically make their rounds for your safety.

      Keep a watchful eye on your children as they play and swim in the creek. There are no life guards available for this portion of the Lake.

      Bring your boat and launch it onto the great Lucky Peak Lake. Enjoy waterskiing, boating, and swimming. Make sure that you have life jackets on and abide by the water safety rules.

      Arrive early, if you want a picnic table and grill. There are only ten each at this site. Remember to put out an fires and clean up after yourself.

      Bring your own food, as there are no concession stands at this portion of the lake. The closest grocery store is located about twenty miles away, so bring everything that you require.

      Bringing your dog along with you for a day in the sun is okay as long as you keep Fido on a leash.

  • Arrive early to get a picnic table, they are limited in number.

  • If you plan on swimming, remember that there is no life guard at this portion of the lake. You are responsible for watching and caring for your children.
