Air Hockey Table

Air hockey was created around 1969, and hardly anybody has been able to enter an game room without playing it ever since. There are still die hard teams of air hockey players all over the world. You can even buy your own air hockey tables to keep at home. Ensuring that your air hockey table stays clean will ensure you years of enjoyment. Here's how you can clean your air hockey table.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vacuum (with attachment)
  • Furniture Polish
  • Cotton Cloth
  • Pipe Cleaners
  1. Step 1

Start by using your vacuum attachment to vacuum off table. This will get dust and dirt particles out of the holes.

  2. Step 2

Use a dry rag to wipe off any remaining dust or particles on the table top. Be sure to scrub any difficult areas until all is clean.

  3. Step 3

Turn on the air hockey table. Take your soft cloth, and spray it with furniture polish if your surface is wood. Wipe down the entire tabletop. This will leave a coating on the air hockey table to make playing easier.

  4. Step 4

Take desperate measures if your table is still not clean. If the holes on the table are so dusty that the vacuum won't help, then you can use pipe cleaners. Make sure the pipe cleaners are of an appropriate size. Most hobby or craft shops will have these pipe cleaners. Slide the pipe cleaner into each hole individually. This will thoroughly clean the table. Repeat all above steps after trying this.

Tips & Warnings
  • After your tabletop is clean, put the table cover over it. Always replace the cover when you're not using the table. If you don't have a cover, a large piece of plywood will do the same.
  • Don't let kids use the table without instructing them on its proper care.
