Instructions
  1. Step 1

See your dentist routinely. Brushing your teeth is just not enough. Tartar can build up on your teeth, and they will need to be cleaned to get any tartar missed by just brushing and flossing. During a routine dental visit, your dentist will clean your teeth, issue fluoride treatment, take x-rays, and talk with you about your current dental health. It is recommended that you see your dental professional at least twice a year to maintain good oral health.

  2. Step 2

Floss your teeth prior to brushing. This can remove particles that a toothbrush cannot reach.

  3. Step 3

Brush your teeth regularly. Brushing your teeth every day is very important. Not brushing your teeth can lead to an array of dental health problems like tooth decay, gingivitis, plaque/tarter build up, and even loss of teeth. Brush your teeth twice a day for maximum effectiveness.

  4. Step 4

Use a well-known mouthwash after every brushing. This can further clean and strengthen teeth. Be sure to pick an anti-cavity option!

  5. Step 5

Chew sugar-free gum in between brushing after meals. This can help remove plaque, and it is beneficial to your oral health.

Tips & Warnings
  • Your smile can tell someone a lot about who you are. You should do all you can to try and maintain or improve your good oral health.
  • Do not do tobacco products. Tobacco use can cause an array of health problems, even dental health problems. Smoking can cause staining of your teeth that can develop over time, and it can be hard to clean from your teeth in the future. Chewing tobacco can cause bad breath, tooth loss and oral cancer. It is recommended that you try to quit using tobacco to reduce serious risks to your oral health.
