Instructions

    • 1

Wash the feet. Start your massage by washing the feet of the person you will be massaging. This will cleanse the feet before you begin and will also relax them feet before the massage.

    • 2

Soak the feet. Besides just cleaning the feet, leave the feet in a water bath before you begin the massage. Soak feet in bath salts as a therapeutic way to relax tired feet.

    • 3

Dry and oil the feet. After the feet have been soaked, dry them with a towel and begin the therapeutic massage. Use a small amount of massage oil and rub it into the feet.

    • 4

Start at the top. Begin giving the massage at the toes. Use gentle motions to work the oil in around the toes and to massage the muscles around the toes.

    • 5

Move down the foot. After the toes, continue to give a therapeutic foot massage by using your thumbs to massage the bottom of the foot and work towards the ankles. Use firm pressure to get circulation to the tired foot.

    • 6

Massage the soles. Use firm strokes to relax the soles of the foot.

    • 7

Continue to massage up and down the foot for as long as it takes to relieve the pain and relax the foot.
