Making free printable ABC stencils is an easy way to send a large message or personalize a design.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Photo shop software
  • acetate paper
  • tape
  • stencil brush
  • sponge
  1. Step 1

    Use a Photo shop software program to personally design your own ABC stencils or find free printable ones from a large number of online sources.

  2. Step 2

    Use the photo imaging software to make large, minimize, or create free printable bubble ABC stencil designs to your liking.

  3. Step 3

    Print out your finished ABC stencil patterns and set them aside. Use acetate paper to trace your letters on removing the necessary open areas. Leave a large 3 inch border around your pattern to allow for design stability.

  4. Step 4

    Tape your acetate pattern to whatever your are creating your stencil on and apply small amounts of paint to the open areas of the stencil. Apply your color slowly and blot deliberately with your stencil brush or sponge to avoid getting a bubble in your paint.

  5. Step 5

    Let your patterns dry and then slowly remove them from their surface. Now you have created your own free alphabet designs for borders, art, or to enhance a bookcase or headboard for a bed. You can find lots of ways to use your printable ABC stencils!
