How to rid stains/odor from mattress' caused by urine or body odor

This short and simple article will give you step by step instructions on how to remove those nasty odors and stains in your mattress

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Borax soap
• Latex Gloves
• Scrub brush (softer is better)
• Spray bottle filled with water
• Vacuum

1. 
   Mattress

   Firstly make sure all excess urine is soaked up in a towel or cloth.

2. 
   Spray Bottle

   Generously spray the mattress with water until damp. (You dont want to soak it, but do want the soap to stick)

3. 
   Borax

   Sprinkle the Borax on the mattress. It works best if you cover the entire mattress rather than just the spot you are working on.

4. 
   Scrub Brush

   With the scrub brush, gently work the Borax into the mattress a bit in small, slow, circular motions.

5. 
   Fan

   Let the mattress and Borax dry completely. (This will take a few hours)

6. 
   Vacuum

   Once dry, vacuum the Borax until no residue remains.

Tips & Warnings

• Borax does dry out skin quite a bit, so be sure to wear your gloves.
• It is best to do this on a morning that you can have windows open to assist in the drying time.
• Placing a fan facing the mattress will also help speed up drying time.
• The matress may feel a bit gritty after Borax is vacuumed, by taking a damp towel and rubbing it lightly over the mattress you should pick up any remaining grit.
