Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Sometimes we all just need a temporary change of scenery. Veer away from your routine for the day. Take a different route to work. Have lunch at the park. Even the little things help, too. Eat dinner outside instead of at the dinner table. Turn off the TV and get some fresh air outdoors. Go for a walk and relax.
Step2
Ever tried listening to someone else's story? When we are feeling down, we can start to feel a little selfish and only wonder "how can I get better?" or "what can other people do to make ME feel better?" Take a moment to listen to someone else's problem. They may very well make your problems seem like a grain of salt. You may even be able to offer advice which, in turn, will help you feel better.
Step3
Help someone your don't know. Hold the door open for someone. Pick up an item you just saw someone drop and return it to them. A little bit goes a long way and by helping someone else, you have just made two people happier.
Step4
Lastly, call a friend. You never know how a person's kind words can heal a damaged soul until try it. Even if you don't talk about your problems, talk about anything else exciting going on in order to get your mind off the negative stuff. Always surround yourself with positive people.
