Step 1
Scan magazines for models and stars with haircuts you like. Next time you're reading your favorite gossip magazine take note of the haircuts of the models in the advertisements and pictures of the stars. If you see one you like mark the page. Make sure you own the magazine before you start marking pages!

Step 2
On your next day out you should take note of the women around you. How many times have you seen someone with the "perfect haircut" that you wished was yours? If you see someone with a haircut you'd love to have grabbed your camera phone and snap a picture. Preferably ask their permission, but if it's just not possible then try to grab a snap shot without looking to much like a crazy stalker! Make sure you save the picture. Now, you can download it to your computer and get a better look.

Step 3
Now that you've gathered your little pile of "favorite haircuts" here's the fun part, cut out the pictures in the magazines (make sure it's yours!) and print out the digital pictures you took with your camera phone. Now take the picture you have of yourself and mix and match haircuts! Now you'll be able to see whether or not the haircut really is perfect for YOU! Everyone has a different shaped face, different type hair... don't get stuck with a great haircut that just isn't great on you!

Step 4
Take your ideas to the hairdressers! Bring a picture of the exact haircut you want, that looked best on your picture, to your hairdresser. With a visual example, there should be little chance you'll end up with the wrong haircut!
