Re-evaluate your credit cards. Look at the interest that you are paying on each of your credit cards or loans. Once you have determined which has the highest interest rate that is the bill that you have to eliminate first. If you can transfer balances from one credit card to another it would benefit you in the long run.

Contact your utility company, many will offer budget billing, where you will pay a set amount for each month no matter what you use. Usually you will have paid just a bit more than you needed to during the course of the year and you will have a credit for almost a month's worth of gas and electric.

Become frugal in your expenditures. Look for sales, coupons and ways to economize. Read the labels on the products you are purchasing, there are many times that you are just paying for the "name." Consider buying an off brand to decrease the amount that you have to pay.

Decide to carpool to work, by sharing expenses with one of your co-workers, you will be saving money on gasoline, parking and tolls. This will lower the amount of money that you have to pay for your ever rising gasoline prices.
