We all have moments of dry-spells. As for writers, we called "writer block"! It comes and goes!

To solve this issue, here are some ideas to unleash that creativity.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Board game
  • Guitar or favorite instrument
  • Pencils, pen, and drawing pad
  • Camera
  • Music
  1. Step 1

Do something different! Get the Monopoly game board out, and play with your family. Take a break from whatever you are doing to relax, and renew.

  2. Step 2

If you are musically skill, bring out that guitar or any other instrument, and start playing. Having fun with what makes you happy, ease the tension of working.

  3. Step 3

Turn on the music. I find classical music churning my desire to create and helping me think.

  4. Step 4

Bring out your drawing pad and let your fingers guide you. Doodling can be fun, spontaneous, and open up a brand new perspective.

  5. Step 5

Take a walk, and tune in to nature. When you are in the moment, you feel grateful, and it can be inspiring or bring out your creative juice.

  6. Step 6

Gardening work can also help you concentrate on the task at hand. It is a therapeutic way to let go of your frustration.

Do something different when you are "stuck" to get your mind off. If washing dishes, or vacuuming the house is your way to relax, then by all mean, do it. You do not have to sit there and let irritation builds up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Call a friend and talk
  • Read a book
  • Go to the library
  • Take a bubble bath
  • When you feel "stuck", just remember to relax
  • Frustration can stop your creative flow on the track
