How to Wash Out a Gym Bag

Your gym bag can become one sweaty, dirty, germy, odd smelling mess if you don't frequently clean it out. Making sure that your gym bag gets frequently cleaned out will help to ensure that it smells fresh, is as germ free as possible, and stays in the best condition possible.

Instructions

  1. How To Wash Out A Gym Bag

    • 1

Take everything out of your gym bag, including what is in the pockets (inside and out). If there is a removable piece on the bottom of the gym bag that helps to make it a bit more sturdy, remove that as well.

    • 2

If you've just used the gym bag, give it a little while to air out before you continue cleaning it.

    • 3

Wash the gym bag down with very hot water and a mild soap. (Don't burn yourself! Only use a temperature of water that you can tolerate using.)

    • 4

Let the gym bag air dry by putting it on a flat surface, such as on a table (with a towel underneath the gym bag) or on top of a dryer.

    • 5

After it is dried, wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe including the handles, the bottom and everywhere in between.

    • 6

Again, leave the gym bag on a flat surface to continue to dry out after you wipe it down with the antibacterial wipe.

    • 7

You're now all set with a clean gym bag!
