Flowers are one of the most important parts of a wedding. Finding just the right style and color will make everything come together and your guests will remember the wedding for years to come. If you don’t want to spend hours at a time in a flower shop, look on-line to order the flowers for your wedding.

    Order Your Wedding Flowers On-line

  1. Step 1

Decide if you want to order from a bigger nationwide florist or a local florist. There are advantages to both. A nationwide florist will have more of a selection to choose from and probably more experience doing weddings. On the other hand, working with a small local florist would give you the opportunity of going and seeing the flowers before the wedding.

  2. Step 2

Go on-line and type in your search criteria. If you are going with a nationwide florist such as 1800flowers or FTD, just type in the name in the search box and the site will come up. The way to find florists in your local area is to type “florist in (name of your city and state)” in the search bar. Then you will have to look at the sites to see which ones allow on-line ordering.

  3. Step 3

Pick the flowers! Most florist' sites will have a section labeled 'wedding'. Start your search there and browse through the selections that are offered. You don’t have to pick something out of this section; however, you can look through all of their flowers and pick what you want. Add all of the ones you like to your cart. When you have finished looking through everything you can go to the cart and pick the ones you like best.

  4. Step 4

Proceed with the order process. You will be asked for your name and address, payment information, and the information about the wedding such as date, time and location. After you enter all of your information and submit the order you will get a confirmation page or number. Print out the confirmation information for your records.

  5. Step 5

Keep an eye on your email because some places will keep you abreast of your order status. If you see that it’s taking too long, you can email or call them to check on the progress.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check with at least five places before deciding on a vendor.
  • Write the florist's phone number down in case you want to talk to him in person.
  • Make sure to add the florist's website to your address book so the email won't go to your spam folder.
  • Only order from sites with secure order processes.
  • Always keep the confirmation information handy.

on 8/23/2009 There are many online sites that specialize in selling flowers for weddings. I ordered from www.wholeblossoms.com for my wedding and was able to save hundreds than by ordering from my local florist. As long as you don't mind putting flowers together, then this is one smart way to save!

on 12/14/2008 Are you freaking kidding me???? A nationwide florist will have more of a selection to choose from...If you order WEDDING FLOWERS or any flower arrangement from these "nationwide" companies who do you think fills the order???????? THE LOCAL FLORIST!!!! Who you should have talked to in the first place!!!! You also said "nationwide companies have more experience doing weddings" The only experience these companies have is taking everyday orders. They couldn’t tell you the difference between a rose and a lily!!!! If you don't have a couple of hours to spend with the people that are actually doing your wedding then research online print some pictures and take them to your local florist. NEVER EVER ORDER YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS ON-LINE unless it's a destination wedding and then you will want to use a company referred to you by the venue, hotel your staying at, etc. Never order flowers fro
