How to Make Decorative Pillows

Let your imagination run wild with your pillows

Want to give your living room or bedroom some spunk. Try some decorative pillows.

Things You'll Need

• Colorful fabric or cloth
• scissors
• buttons
• ribbons
• fabric paint
• sewing machine or needle and thread
• stuffing material, another pillow, pillow foam. sponge or feathers

Instructions

1. Choose your fabric and cut it into your desired shape.

2. Add embellishments to the front of the fabric, jewels, buttons, paint, or ribbon.

3. Connect the sides of the fabric by sewing the front and back of the materials together. Leave an opening at the top to stuff the pillow.

4. Add stuffing to pillow to make it as soft or as firm as you desire.

5. Close the opening at the top by folding the edges in and basting the top of the pillow.
