Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fake mustache
  • Spirit gum
  • Small pair of scissors
  • Large makeup brush
  • Cotton swab (optional)
  • Rubbing alcohol (optional)
  1. Step 1

Using spirit gum or other adhesive, place the fake mustache just above the lip of the person who will be wearing it.

  2. Step 2

Allow the spirit gum to dry before trimming the mustache.

  3. Step 3

Take a small pair of scissors and begin trimming the hair of the mustache. Start on one side and work your way to the other. Trim a little as you go to create a natural shape and thickness.

  4. Step 4

If the mustache is still too thick, trim the top of the mustache and remove excess spirit gum using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol.

  5. Step 5

Gently rub the cotton swab over the spirit gum until it has been completely removed.

  6. Step 6

Continue to trim the fake mustache until the proper thickness has been achieved.

  7. Step 7

Brush with a large makeup brush to remove any left over or stray hairs.

Tips & Warnings
  • If applying a fake mustache to your own face, follow the same steps, but use a hand mirror to make sure the sides are even.
  • Some people are allergic to spirit gum, so make sure you test it out on the person's hand before using it on their face.
