Things You'll Need:
- Lawn duster
- Gloves
- Dust mask
- Safety goggles
- Pesticide dust
-
Step 1
Protect yourself with gloves, safety goggles and a dust mask. The pesticide dust can be irritating to your skin and eyes, and harmful if inhaled when loading the lawn duster hopper.
-
Step 2
Read the instructions for your lawn duster to learn how it operates, what kind of pesticide dust you can use in it, and how much pesticide dust can be loaded in the hopper.
-
Step 3
Open the hopper lid.
-
Step 4
Pour pesticide dust slowly into the lawn duster hopper. The dust is more likely to become airborne or spill if you pour too quickly.
-
Step 5
Close the hopper lid carefully.
-
Step 6
Clean and safely discard any pesticide dust that spilled while loading the lawn duster hopper.
