Strawberry Cream Pie is a guaranteed hit. I enjoy making a family day out of this pie. I take my children strawberry picking, then let them help with preparation. They enjoying making it almost as much as eating it!

    Things You'll Need

    • pie pan
    • 1-cup graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/4-cup butter
    • 1/3-cup light brown sugar
    • 2/3-cup boiling water
    • 1 pkg. (4 serving size) Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
    • 1-cup cold water
    • 1 (8 ounce) tub Whipped Topping, thawed
    • 1 1/2 C cup chopped fresh strawberries
    • 1-cup sliced strawberries (optional for garnish)
    1. Making the Crust

      • 1

        Preheat oven to 350F for silver pan or 300 for dark pan

        Melt the Butter.

        Mix graham crackers, butter and sugar together to form pie crust.

        Press onto bottom and on sides of pie pan.

        In a silver pan, bake at 350F for eight to 10 minutes; in a dark pan, bake at 300F for eight to 10 minutes.

        Allow cake to cool.

        In a large bowl, stir boiling water into gelatin until completely dissolved.

        Mix water and gelatin.

        Add whipped cream topping to gelatin mix. Mix thoroughly.

        Mix in chopped strawberries.

        Chill until strawberry cream mixture is thick.

        Pour cream filling into crust.

        Refrigerate pie until firm.

        Garnish pie with sliced strawberries.

    Tips & Warnings

    • Some people use 1/2-cup cold water and then add ice cubes to make the one cup water. They stir ice water into gelatin. If you do so, make sure to remove remaining ice.

    • If you are in a hurry, you can use a pre-made graham crust.
